The secured semi-final place means that Fransson has secured a Swedish Olympic spot in the 68-kilos class at the Olympics next summer. Battsetseg Soronzobold looked to have his quarterfinals under control and the Olympic ticket in his possession. But Fransson did not give up. She pushed her opponent over the mat edge to score 3-5.

Then two seconds remained on the match clock. Directly on the referee's signal, Mattson threw over his opponent and turned on both her and the match.

The Mongolian could only state that she dropped a 5-1 lead to 6-5 in just seconds.

Jenny Fransson's eighth final was almost as smooth. Frenchman Koumba Larroque and Fransson had a score when the match was in the final minute. With only a few seconds left, she managed a throw that gave her both the lead and the victory.

But the Swedish favorite fell

Henna Johansson, painted in advance as the largest Swedish medal jump, started the day with a fairly easy departure from Belarusian Krystina Federashka. The next eighth final became a regular overpass by Lydia Perez Tourin, Spain. Johansson took an early lead and got up 11-0 when the game was blown off with just under two minutes left to wrestle on.

Henna Johansson was superior in her eighth final. But in the quarterfinals against reigning 62-year-old world champion Taybe Yusein, that stopped. The Bulgarian decided the match with a throw of 7-1. The verdict was challenged by the Swedish team, but without results for the 28-year-old from Gällivare who lost by 10-5.
