Anderstorp Racing Club (ARC) has agreed with DTM promoter ITR to organize a competition at Scandinavian Raceway, which in the 1970s hosted six World Cup races in Formula 1, June 12-14 next year.

- It feels almost unreal for DTM to come to Sweden, says Joel Eriksson and continues:

- It's absolutely fantastic. For me it has always been a dream to compete at home for friends, fans and family. This is truly a great day for Swedish motorsport. Congratulations to Anderstorp and Scandinavian Raceway who have succeeded in something very special.

The Småland track will thus carry out both its and the country's first international car racing event since the FIA World Touring Car Championship (WTCC) visited the facility in July 2007.
