"Clubs with a different attitude to Ajax"
Ronald de Boer thinks that Ajax's successful previous season means that opponents such as Lille approach a match against the team from Amsterdam differently. "The big difference is that clubs used to come to Ajax to grab three points," he says. "Now they think: a dot is also nice. That is a completely different attitude, which means that Ajax is confronted by teams that play in a very organized way. They have to break through that."

Ronald de Boer has confidence in Ajax victory
Ronald de Boer is confident that Ajax will start the new Champions League adventure tonight against Lille, even though the team from Amsterdam is still not at the level of last season. "At times they play well, although they are still searching. Erik ten Hag has not yet completely put his puzzle in the back and in midfield," says De Boer, who sees Lille as the first real test. "You would say that Lille is a team against which you can count on three points, even if that is a bit short."

Which Dutch people can make their CL debut?
The selections for the new Champions League season count nineteen Dutch nationals in foreign service. Seven of them can make their debut in the ball of millions. Marten de Roon and Hans Hateboer seem certain of playing time at the Italian Atalanta. Also Rajiv from La Parra, recently employed by Red Star Belgrade, and Mick van Buren from Slavia Prague can prepare for their debut. Conversely, youngsters Joshua Zirkzee (Bayern Munich), Sepp van den Berg (Liverpool) and Immanuel Pherai (Borussia Dortmund) have little chance of playing time. It is already special for all three that they are included in the Champions League selection of their club.
