Henrik Larsson resigned from the coaching assignment in Helsingborg due to verbal hopes. In came Olof Mellberg's merit instead.
In the coach premiere at the Tele2 arena, a committed Mellberg shout and gesture a lot to the players on the pitch. So much so that he lost his voice completely.
How active were you at the sidelines really?
- Above all, I was loud. You get to shout twice as high at such matches where there are so many supporters. I wanted to reach and above all we had some problems on the other side in the first half so I tried to get the message out, whispered Olof Mellberg to SVT Sport.
In the first half, Helsingborg had several dangerous counter-positions. Until the 70th match minute the score was 0-0 but then Emir Kujovic made a successful jump with two quick goals to Djurgården.
- There were some times we did not get it right in the positions that we had agreed on. But as soon as we were right we had full control. Then they noticed that they (Djurgården) became more and more frustrated. Unfortunately, the first goal comes when they are most stressed.
