Sunday, at the Grand Prix of San Marino, the MotoGP French driver Fabio Quartararo came in second. The winner of the day, Marc Marquez, doubled it in the last lap. No French driver has won a Grand Prix in the queen class since Régis Laconi ... in 1999.

Fabio Quartararo was a few bends to enter the French legend of the bike. While leading the San Marino MotoGP Grand Prix on Sunday, he saw Marc Marquez double it on the final lap. The French fans held their breath to the end, hoping that a French finally climbs on the highest step of the podium of the category of the motorcycle queen. The last to have achieved this performance is Régis Laconi, in 1999.

Fabio Quartararo climbs for the fourth time this season on the podium and will have to wait again before registering his name on the charts. Marc Marquez, meanwhile, wins his 77th victory and heads for a sixth world title.
