The president of the Football Association, Marwan bin Ghalita, said that the action of goalkeeper Majid Nasser to prevent an emotional fan from attacking the referee, an act that expresses his sporting spirit, saying, thank Majid for this spirit.
"What a crowd did after the end of the game is unacceptable," he said, according to the UAE Football Association's official account.
He added: "The public attendance of the super match was remarkable and the initiatives of the Association contributed to the success of the event, and the judging team led by Mohamed Obeid managed the game with great abilities and brought it to safety."
Bin Ghalaita praised the efforts of the Professional League and thanked the team for organizing the Arabian Gulf Super Cup and congratulated the Sharjah Club family on the occasion of the crowning of the first football team in the 2019 Arabian Gulf Super Cup.
