- They have lost some players, but on the other hand they have received two class acquisitions such as Nicoline Södergaard Jensen and Minatsu Murase, according to Rooth.

HV71 and Brynäs are challenging

She believes it will be the smoothest season ever this year, with five to six teams able to take the SM gold and that Luleå is challenged mainly by HV71 and Brynäs.

- HV71 has received an incredible number of good names for an already solid team building. They look to be strong this year, with a small question mark around the goalkeepers who have to perform at an even higher level than last year if they want to fight for the gold, says Maria.

- Brynäs has also recruited some class players. In addition to the renowned Lara Stalder, Maja Nylén-Persson and Michela Cava, there are two incredibly offensive Czechs, Denisa Krizova and Katerina Mrazova. Brynäs will be able to deliver ahead, but the question mark is in the defensive. In addition, is the team ready to go from bottom to top of the table in a season? Doubtful, says Maria Rooth.

SDE can surprise

One team that can be this year's positive surprise is the Stockholm team SDE.

- They have a rugged fighting team, a good goalkeeper in Sofia Reideborn, and that they have accumulated more experience from the highest series. It's their turn to take another step this year, says Maria Rooth.

Maria also believes that all this year's team may stay in SDHL but that Gothenburg gets it tough and probably also Leksand.

- Gothenburg does not get it and lacks tip and Leksand lacks continuity. There, coaches and players exchange goodbye, the club must have a calm to gather the strengths, she says.

Best league in the world

Maria Rooth holds SDHL high.

- SDHL grows every year and has never been stronger, no doubt. At the same rate as the economic muscles get bigger, so does the league, says Maria.

- With the closure of CWHL in Canada, SDHL is the best professional league in the world to play in, says Maria. More and more class players are coming here and SDHL is a safe card for foreign players who want to play good hockey, says SVT expert Maria Rooth.
