The English Premier League has been at the forefront of the summer transfer market, according to FIFA.

According to FIFA, the 20 clubs in the Premier League have spent 1.230 billion euros on new international deals this summer. For the first time, the 20 clubs in the Primera Liga have surpassed the one billion euro mark in their international summer deals with six million euros.

The 20 Serie A clubs are third with 636 million euros this summer. The Bundesliga came in fourth, after 18 rivals spent 525 million euros on consolidation this summer. Ligue 1 came in fifth place, with clubs spending 519 million euros on new players.
