- If there is no setback and she feels ready, the door is open for a World Cup start, says Swedish Confederate captain Lucas Persson in a press release.

One year ago, Emilia Fahlin took fourth place on the World Cup line race in Insbruck. This year the plan was to take another step and she signed up for the renowned FDJ team. But a crash during a training session in Spanish Girona in May has devastated much of the season. Among other things, it resulted in a concussion that the 30-year-old must now have recovered from.

- I've been training well for a couple of weeks and the plan is for me to drive in France next Sunday. Of course, I will not be in any nice shape but want to know how I react in different situations, says Emilia Fahlin.

In the World Cup squad published this week, a place was left vacant. If there is no setback in the competition comeback in the Grand Prix d'Isbergues next Sunday, the World Cup can be her.
