Already three weeks ago, the Swedish Ice Hockey Federation's general secretary, Tommy Boustedt, negotiator responsible for the union, told us that the issue of lost work compensation for the Women's Crowns was resolved during the parties' first meeting.

- An important issue, after all, was the girls' lost work income, and that was what we decided to solve. So that issue was ticked off so to speak during the meeting, he told SVT Sport on August 22.

Yesterday, the players' union, Sico, representative Klara Stenberg did not want to go into what details it was that the players rated the union's proposal.

"Not very happy"

But now it turns out that the Swedish Ice Hockey Association has withdrawn the issue of lost work income at national team gatherings.

- They (the players) were not very pleased with the proposal the union returned with, we can say. The proposal that they returned with does not include the part on lost work income or insurance. These are two very important issues, that they will be resolved, Stenberg told SVT Sport on Friday.

Lost income you say? Wasn't that one of the pillars of why it was a strike from the beginning?

- Right. It is not included in the proposal.

How far are the parties apart at present?

- I can't comment on that at all. We hope that there will be something good between the union and Sico, that it will be a functioning national team agreement for both parties. That's what we hope for. I can't answer how far apart we are.

At present, no new meeting, between the parties, has been scheduled.
