Rugby World Cup Samoa national team visits kindergarten exchange Fukushima Iwaki September 12 14:18
Before the Rugby World Cup Japan tournament, which started on the 20th of this month, Samoa representatives who had a pre-camp in Iwaki City, Fukushima visited a local kindergarten and deepened exchanges with children.
Samoa players who have been camping in Iwaki City since 11th prayed for victory at the shrine in the city on the 12th.
The group then visited a local kindergarten and was welcomed by approximately 70 children. The children encouraged the players by presenting medals made of golden paper and performing the dances and songs they practiced for this day.
The players sang songs from their home country that expressed their gratitude, and the children deepened their interaction by clapping to beautiful harmonies and cheerful dances.
The girl who participated said, “The players were big and singing was amazing. I want them to do their best in the competition.”
Samoa captain Jack Lam said, “I was happy and impressed that the children practiced singing and dancing. We wanted to prepare well for the first match.”
Samoa national camp will be held until 15th of this month, and public practice will be held at “Iwaki Green Field” from 10:00 am on the 13th.
