It was during American time on Monday morning that President Donald Trump and Fifa President Gianni Infantino held a joint press conference outside the White House
"We had a great meeting," President Trump told the Unified Press.
The meeting must have been primarily about the 2026 Soccer World Cup, to be arranged by North America and Mexico. But the two presidents also said that they had discussed gender equality in the tribulation.

During the World Cup in France this summer, soccer star Megan Rapinoe strongly criticized Donald Trump and the team chose not to visit the White House to celebrate the World Cup gold after the championship.
- Gianni and I had a meeting and talked about what everyone should do to make women's soccer better and more fair and so on, says the US president after the meeting with Infantino.
