The Civil Police of the state of Sao Paulo on Tuesday presented a formal accusation before the Justice for false denunciation and extortion against Najila Trindade, the model that last June accused of rape the football player Neymar, player of the Brazilian team and the French PSG.

In the petition sent to Justice one month after having refused to file criminal charges against Neymar for considering that the complaint against him was unfounded, the Civil Police alleges that, instead, there are indications that the model made a false complaint and that he tried to extort money from the player's family, so he asks to be prosecuted.

The commissioner responsible for the case, Monique Lima , accused the model of the crimes of slanderous denunciation, procedural fraud and extortion, after concluding two of the investigations that had been opened since Neymar was accused of rape.

One of those investigations was opened at the request of Neymar's father, who said he suffered an extortion attempt by one of the model's lawyers , who, according to his version, proposed an economic agreement so that Trindade did not make the complaint .

In the same process, the Civil Police accused Trindade's ex-husband, Estiven Alves , of the crimes of procedural fraud and dissemination of material with erotic content . According to the researchers, Alves gave intimate images of his ex-wife to a journalist to publish on the internet.

Trindade's lawyer, Cosme Araújo Santos , said he could not rule on the decision of the Civil Police because he had not had access to the process and was surprised by the accusation against his client shortly after he had asked Justice for a care between the parties.

The complaint for violation against Neymar was filed on August 8 by Judge Ana Paula Gomes de Moraes , head of the second domestic domestic violence court of Santo Amaro, who complied with the recommendation made by both the Civil Police and the Prosecutor's Office.

The Prosecutor's Office alleged that the examinations made by the Legal Medical Institute had not shown signs of violence against the model.

The Commissioner of the Civil Police responsible for the investigation into the alleged violation, Juliana Lopes Bussacos , head of the sixth Police Commission for the Defense of Women of Sao Paulo, found in her final report that there were not enough elements to formally accuse Neymar of the crimes of rape or aggression.

The commissioner also said she had detected numerous contradictions in Trindade's accusations against the player . In her complaint, the 26-year-old model said that she traveled to Paris to have consensual sexual relations with the striker on May 15, but that, being in a hotel, she changed her mind at the last moment because the player did not have condoms, and that was then violated by the PSG player.

After the alleged aggression, the young woman returned to Brazil and, 10 days later, filed the complaint at a police station in Sao Paulo against the striker, who at that time was concentrated with the Brazilian team that played the 2019 Copa América de Brasil 2019.

The complainant handed the police a one-minute video in which she can see herself hitting Neymar, while accusing her of assaulting her and leaving her alone at the hotel last night. The model said that another six minutes of the same video contained elements that would prove that the Brazilian star sexually assaulted her, but later alleged that they had stolen her cell phone in which she allegedly had them archived.
