The Supreme Committee for Projects and Inheritance, the body responsible for the implementation of stadiums, infrastructure and legacy programs for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, has completed the registration of all project workers in an integrated electronic medical records system, the first step of its kind in the field of health care in Qatar.

The system operates on the System One program offered by The Phoenix Partnership, the UK's leading electronic health records company.

Each patient is assigned a medical record, allowing doctors at various locations to view workers' medical records, monitor their health and deal with them more effectively. The program is being used in the UK to strengthen the country's national health service system.

The system, launched in February 2018, has health records of more than 29

Patients also have access to their medical records in Qatar and abroad through the application of each worker, ensuring continuity of health care, while enabling workers to better understand and manage their health.

All SCRC project workers registered in this system shall undergo a comprehensive medical examination carried out by the Qatar Red Crescent with funding from the SCRC. The results of the examination form part of the central medical records, which can be accessed through medical clinics in stadiums, accommodation and health centers of the Qatar Red Crescent.

Secretary General of the Higher Committee Hassan Al-Thawadi said that the new initiative confirms the commitment to raise the level of workers 'welfare, and stressed the Committee's keenness to take advantage of new innovations and technologies in its efforts to improve workers' welfare.

It is worth mentioning that after Qatar won the right to host the 2022 World Cup, the Supreme Committee for Legacy and Legacy prepared a set of standards for the welfare of workers aiming to maintain the health and safety of workers of the World Cup projects, from their employment until their return to their home countries.
