Dylan Groenewegen has booked his second stage victory in the Tour of Great Britain on Monday. The Jumbo-Visma rider was the fastest in the mass sprint of the third stage.

In the 183-kilometer drive from Berwick-upon-Tweed to Newcastle-upon-Tyne, fellow Amsterdamman Mathieu van der Poel left behind him with great force majeure. The Italian Davide Cimolai finished third.

Groenewegen had already won the opening stage of the British stage race on Saturday. A day later he lost his leader's jersey in the second stage won by Matteo Trentin.

The round ends on Saturday with a flat trip to Manchester. Last year the overall victory went to the Frenchman Julian Alaphilippe.
