Fischer may miss the rest of the season
Nilla Fischer risks missing the rest of the season, Corren writes. The Swedish national team star is drawn with a health injury and misses Linköping's all-Swedish match away against Växjö on Monday and in the worst case can be gone for months.
- The risk is that she will be gone for so long, you cannot deny. But we think it looks much brighter than that. It points in the right direction and it is not excluded with games against Eskilstuna in the match after. We push the rehabilitation as much as we can, says coach Olof Unogård to Corren.
According to the magazine, Fischer has suffered from inflammation of the health and it should be difficult to make an exact diagnosis for how long she will be gone, it can be both weeks and months.
The 35-year-old returned to LFC from Germany's Wolfsburg after the World Cup bronze last summer and has missed the last three league matches including the European Championship qualifier against Latvia on Tuesday.
Sweden has two European qualifying matches remaining this year, against Hungary and Slovakia in October.
