There was a lot that the Swedish ladies were annoyed at after the European qualifying premiere against Latvia. There were unpumped balls and poor conditions. But for Caroline Seger, it was perhaps mainly a tackle that she thought of after the match.

- I'm just incredibly happy that my knees held up because it didn't feel good when she got into the situation and I also get stuck in the grass. So I have to thank higher powers for that, she tells SVT Sport.

"That tackle is very brutal"

It was not only Seger who felt that it was thankfully tough, but received support from the union leader Peter Gerhardsson.

- That tackle is very brutal. It was one of the easier decisions during these 90 minutes that it would be a card. Now I was so close, that was probably why the reaction was that it was a very brutal tackle. I do not know what it looked like on TV, but something short it should have been, he tells SVT Sport.
