Arturo Vargas Lucas, 41, died Monday as a result of injuries that occurred on Saturday during an accident at the Motorland Alcañiz circuit, where he participated in the Open EasyRace category of the Spanish championship.

The pilot, from Madrid, was transferred by the sanitary services of the circuit to the Regional Hospital of Alcañiz and from there referred to the University Clinical Hospital of Zaragoza.
