Lukaku threw a furious glance towards the platform from where these shouts departed before being surrounded by his teammates, Sunday evening.

Inter Milan striker Romelu Lukaku was the target of racist cries on Sunday during his team's match in Cagliari, Sardinia, counting for the second day of Serie A.

Perfectly audible on television

"Monkey screams" sounded as Lukaku prepared to hit a penalty for Inter. Lukaku scored, to give the advantage to his team (2-1) and these cries, perfectly audible on Italian television, continued a few seconds.

Cagliari fans once again disgracing themselves.

This time they're singing monkey Romelu Lukaku.

Nothing will happen to punish them.

Lukaku glanced furiously at the platform from which these cries started before being surrounded by his teammates. The match resumed normally and was not stopped by the referee.

Previous Kean and Matuidi

In April, striker Moise Kean, then at Juventus, had already been the target of the same racist cries after a goal scored in Cagliari. The Frenchman Blaise Matuidi (Juventus) was also the victim of these cries, also in Cagliari. Lukaku arrived this summer at Inter from Manchester United. He scored two goals in two Serie A matches.
