First, Holm, who turns 15 in October, tapped his previous personal best of 2.05 in the second attempt. He managed with a good margin to the bar and SVT's expert Kajsa Bergqvist described it as "a 2.10 jump".

The success continued when Holm managed 2.07 already in the first attempt. A height that had reached the Swedish medal last year.

- It's a joy to see him jump. It is really impressive and he is a big high jump promise even though he is still young and a lot can happen on the road, says Kajsa Bergqvist.

Here Melwin Holm sets new personal best with 2.07

After two unsuccessful attempts at 2.09, Holm had the knife against the throat. At that stage, he was second. Then he struck with his third best person of the day.

Exhilarating, he ran forward and hugged his father and trainer Stefan Holm at the spectator site.

Melwin Holm will pass 2.09 for the first time

At 2.11, the talent tore three times, and it eventually became a bronze.

- It's phenomenally good. When Dad Stefan was in the same age class he jumped 1.94, which is also very good. But this is incomparable for a 14-year-old, says Kajsa Bergqvist.

The competition is ongoing and Fabian Delryd and Andreas Carlsson are still there.
