Sirius has had a really heavy summer. Prior to today's game against Elfsborg, they had five straight losses, and eight straight without a win.

Not since the 1-0 match against Norrköping in June had they taken a three-point.

Looked dark

And there was no triple point today either. But at least one point, which may become extremely important in the even bottom battle.

But it looked dark. The first half hour, Elfsborg was completely superior, and in the end also did 1-0. The goal came after 27 minutes, when Simon Olsson, in a tense situation in the penalty area, finally got the ball through a striker.

Measure after throw-in

But after the goal Sirius played up, and already two minutes into the second half they acknowledged - with their first finish on goal.

Sam Lundholm got the ball after a throw-in on the offensive half. He turned back and struck a well-balanced post that Christer Gustafsson nodded, well placed at the left post.

Elfsborg ruled

And that goal was the last of the match. Elfsborg had a compact gaming takeover, and created a lot of dangerous chances. But Lukas Jonsson played big, and made sure Sirius got a point home with Uppsala.

- We are strong here at home, it seems. We get one point with us, but of course we want three with us. It's heavy, says Elfsborg's Simon Strand to C More.

The undisclosed result means that Sirius extends the distance down to Falkenberg in qualifying. The team now has a three point lead.
