To definitely secure a place in the Tokyo Olympics already at the World Cup, you have to be top five. Stensils describes it as a "complicated process", but the reason she got a seat is that the Olympic venues go back if someone has qualified for example on two routes, since a person can only qualify for one route.

Something that several participants have done.

- As I had interpreted the rules and when I saw which ones had double qualifications, I knew that I was relevant to a place. I was definitely not sure, so I did not withdraw anything in advance, but I knew I was next in luck, she says.

However, she is not ready for the Olympics - yet. In the end, it is Sweden's Olympic committee, SOK, who decides who will represent Sweden next summer.

Should SOK choose to take Stensils to the Olympics, she will compete in the parade distance K1 200 meters. The 25-year-old became the World Cup third last year and is an Olympic hop in the distance.

- I think they (SOK) believe in me. Then it's a process to go through. It's hard to get a place, but I hope they believe in me enough, says Stensils.
