Since March, five key individuals have chosen - or forced - to quit the skiing team:

* At the end of March, Rikard Grip left his role as national team manager, a position he had held - although the title changed with the years - since 2010.

"It's been a fantastic time, but I feel the time was ripe now," he told TT.

In July he became overall responsible for Sweden's Olympic Committee's efforts against the Olympic Games 2026 and Olympic Games 2028.

* The week after Grip's departure, it was clear that Jonas Peterson took over the role. He has previously been CEO of Craft, one of the ski association's sponsors. The contract was written for 2 + 2 years.

* In April, Annika Zell, the team's only female coach, decided to step down from her assignment.

"It has not been the right conditions simply and it is not fun then," she told SVT.

* Johan Sares, who has worked for the union for ten years, seven of whom are in charge of the longitudinal business, joined the union in early May.

- The decision has slowly but surely grown over the past year. Time feels right to move on now, he said in a press release.

* Nearly two weeks later, Urban Nilsson, the cross-country skiing team manager, chose to quit after eight years in the post.

* On August 24, it became clear that Jonas Peterson may not continue as head of the Swedish cross country team.

- We have had different views on how we should develop the national team manager, says longtime manager Ola Strönberg to SVT.

Two days later, TT was able to report that a schism with the national team whaling team was a major part of the decision, which was confirmed by Peterson.

The next day, SVT Sport was able to tell that Peterson had commissioned Urban Nilsson to kick two runners, which caused the latter to then quit his job because the rally team was holding together.
