Williams defeated Sharapova at the US Open and won her for the 19th time in a row

The fight at the Arthur Ashe Stadium lasted only 60 minutes and ended in victory for the American with a score of 6: 1, 6: 1.

The Russian woman was never able to take the opponent’s pitch, won only 28 of 84 draws and recorded 20 unforced errors in her passive.

This victory was for Williams the 19th consecutive in-person confrontation with Sharapova. The last time a 32-year-old native of Nyagan managed to beat a principal rival in the 2004 WTA final tournament.
