And it was rippling. In the fifth round, both Taylor and Claye struck with two powerful hopes. Claye, whose personal best this season is 18.14, reached 18.06 while Christian Taylor landed at 17.82 which is comparable to Christian Olsson's gold jump of 17.83 at the Budapest 2004 World Cup.
"A really, really good result of Claye rounding off this fine evening in Paris," commentator Niklas Nord said.
