Djurgården's former team captain Andreas Engqvist does not look set to come into play this coming SHL season.

The suits from a tackle from Rögle's Daniel Bertov last season are enduring and the 31-year-old still suffers from side effects from the injury.

According to Sportbladet, there will be no ice hockey in Hovet for Engqvist. At least not the upcoming season.

- We do not expect him to play this season. He still has the symptoms. We have contact and check on how he feels, we talk about the future and are in a bit of a leadership role, says Dif general manager Joakim Eriksson who also says that Engqvist can handle everyday life, but is still sensitive to sound and light.

- We have a common image that he is very unlikely to play in Djurgården that season.
