World Cup striker Anna Anvegård has been one of Damall Sweden's best goal shooters in recent years. Last year she finished second in the shooting league, with 14 goals for the newcomer Växjö. Again this year she has impressed - and is fifth in the shooting league, with six goals scored.

Last week she was recruited by series leader Rosengård, who probably hopes for many goals from Anvegård in the gold battle. And it started well with goals in the debut.

"A wish"

But when Rosengård tonight played away against Anvegård's previous team, she was not included in the team lineup. The reason:

- It was a wish from Växjö, and that is why she did not play today, says Rosengård's sports manager Therese Sjögran to SVT Sport.

Was it a demand from them in the negotiations?

- I don't want to go into that at all, because there is something between us and Växjö. But she didn't play today, and that was something Växjö wanted.

And it was given for you to meet it?

- Absolutely.

And that Rosengård respected Växjös may have been expensive. Because when the team met tonight it became speechless, and Rosengård lost important points in the gold fight.

Evenly at the top

Rosengård was play-leading during much of the match. Especially at the beginning of the first half they had a couple of hot chances, but Växjö's goalkeeper Erin McLeod made several sharp interventions.

- We didn't really get to the level we can, and Växjö fought for good. We had a position that I think we would better manage, but one point more home is better than none, says Therese Sjögran.

Do you think Anvegård was missing today?

- I can't say that much about it. She has been playing with us for 20 minutes, so it's hard to say how she would have affected the match today.

With the draw, Rosengård now has only two points down to the series two Gothenburg. Eight rounds remain to be played.
