- I actually felt relieved. I had thought I would be really excited, but I have been trying to pass the World Cup qualifying limit since June. Now it was more like I had to do it more than anything else, ”she tells Yolanda Ngarambe to SVT Sport.

The goal throughout the season has been to take that World Cup spot. With 4.05.18 in Polish Szczecin, she managed the limit of 4: 06.50 with a margin. Once there, at the 27-year-old's first really big championships, expectations are screwed.

"Can still run better"

- I feel I can still run better. But I don't have that very routine and a World Cup is a completely different thing than a regular competition, ”she says, and says that tactical planning can be a challenge.

- I don't want to say too much about the World Cup yet. But I look forward to it and the goal is for the shape to be topped.

"Mom cheering on me - and Finland"

Before the World Cup, which starts on September 27, Finnkampen is already waiting for the weekend. Ngarambe has a Finnish mother and is in Finland before leaving for Stockholm at the end of the week.

- Finnkampen will always be special because it was the first competition I was selected to compete for Sweden in. Since mom is Finnish so it is a lot of people watching and cheering on me. I feel connected with Finland.

- Mom is cheering on me. But I think she is cheering for Finland in the team competition, says Yolanda Ngarambe with a laugh.

Could there be some trash talk in Finnish at Finnkampen?

- Maybe, I don't really know, haha. But I think it's fun to speak Finnish. No one usually thinks that I speak Finnish so it's fun to be surprised.
