Chelsea's new coach Frank Lampard had little to think about after his first Premier League match as head coach. His blue team fell 0–4 in the opening away against Manchester United and afterwards the Englishman fell flat.

"It was a reality check for all of us," said Lampard.

At home against 2016 champion Leicester, he could immediately start hoping for revenge. Already in the seventh minute Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount pushed in 1-0 after sloppy in the away defense. Leicester's Wilfred Ndidi lobbed the ball out of the penalty area, then Mount stormed forward, twisted the ball and pushed it behind Kasper Schmeichel in the away goal.

Scapegoat then - Ndidi.

In the 67th minute, the 22-year-old made up for his mistake when he reached the top of a corner and nodded 1-1 at the first post. That meant Leicester's first goal of the season and the team's other points in two matches.

Hodgson's Palace fell to the newcomer

At the same time, Crystal Palace, with Swedish acquaintance Roy Hodgson as coach, fell 0-1 away to newcomer Sheffield United.

Midfielder John Lundstram scored the only goal of the game when he pressed a return for the home team shortly after the break.
