Summer cinema is a cultural event that combines culture and enjoy the temperatures and the weather of these dates. But there is a twist to this concept: the drive-ins . It is true that it seems a phenomenon more typical of the United States, which has reached us through movies, but in Spain there are already five locations where you can see a film without leaving the car.

The company Indie Campers, rental of motorhomes and camper vans, has developed a list of five motorcycles. Some, open since the 1970s (mostly in coastal areas), others a few years ago, such as the Autocine Madrid RACE.

Alicante

In the Alicante town of Denia is the Drive-In drive-in . Every day they have two films at the price of 6.50 euros per person plus 3 euros per car. The spectator's day (Wednesday except holidays or eve) the car is free. The golfa session (last weekend session and holidays): 5 euros per person and free car. These days they have in double session Pets 2 and Fast & Furious: Hobbs & Shaw (21:30 and 23:00). It has option of movies in original version.

This enclosure has been open since 1979. It has capacity for 300 cars and opens every day on the shores of the Mediterranean. Another Alicante town, Mutaxmel , claims to have the largest drive-in in Spain. The South dates from 1980 and fits up to 400 vehicles. There are several contests to get free tickets. They schedule two movies. Until next August 15, they have Billboards 2 (every day at dusk, at 9:30 p.m.) and Fast & Furious: Hobbs and Shaw (at 11 p.m.). With an entry you can see both films. It costs six euros per person plus three euros per car. Wednesday is the spectator's day: 4 euros per person and 2 euros per car. Children from 5 to 10 years pay 5 euros.

Also in the Levante is the Star drive-in of the Albufera Natural Park, between the Saler beach and a leisure, commercial and hotel zone. This site opened in 1981 and does it all year. On Thursday, couple's day (except holidays), paying five euros per person and nothing for the vehicle. Sunday is Family Day, which is the special promotion of 14 euros for three people.

Gijón

This Asturian drive-in, opened in 1993, is located on the Providencia al Infanzón road, on the Cantabrian coast and near a large forest. It opens almost every day, except for specific breaks, or dates such as Christmas Eve, New Year's Eve or the night of the fires, big day of Gijón. This Wednesday 14 closes for rest. Indie Campers says that "it combines premiere films with some more classics." In the billboard that goes until August 18, the titles he has are current. Pets 2 is the authentic 'hit' of the drive-ins on these dates, and is scheduled for 10:30 p.m. until Friday 16, in which it enters double session (10:30 p.m. and 00:30 p.m.) Father there is only one . Until next day 15 they only have one movie on the bill: Anabelle returns home to. It is open all year. It costs 10 euros per car. Releases and cycles of classics also make up your billboard. As a curiosity, this cinema, along with ten others, including that of Gijón, was one of those chosen to screen, in scoop, the first two chapters of the third season of the series La Casa de Papel on July 18.
