Éric Olhats , a former advisor to Antoine Griezmann who now works for Atlético de Madrid , criticizes the French international for the way he left the rojiblanco team to Barcelona and more generally for his amnesia with those who have been part of his past.

" Antoine would have deserved a more dignified exit . It is his and his surroundings' fault," says Olhats in statements published this Sunday by " Le Journal du Dimanche ", in which he says he is a little saddened by the way he broke up with Atlético .

Especially since "he owes enormously" to the club's CEO, Miguel Ángel Gil, the sports director, Andrea Berta, and the coach, Diego Simeone .

"I understand that I feel like something else after five seasons in the same club. But that doesn't stop me from believing in his sincere esteem for Atlético," he says.

On how his departure to Barça was managed, Olhats says that when he was still his representative, Piqué and Suárez phoned Griezmann several times and Messi once. He had convinced him it was too soon. Barcelona contacted him again before the knockout stages of the Champions League in February between Atlético and Juventus. " The negotiations did not take place at the right time, " he says before stating that he trusts Gil's word, who says he has evidence that the signing was not done on a regular basis and that "there was a form of negligence."

In other words, it supports the thesis - on which Atlético's complaint against the Catalan club is based - that the agreement between the forward and Barcelona was prior to the moment when the termination clause went from 200 to 120 million euros . Olhats adds that when the transfer was formalized, his former pupil called him, but he has "a bitter taste" and his ways have separated.

"Antoine is not a bad boy. Simply, when he advances he does not look back. He forgets people who are no longer part of the set," he emphasizes hurt, before advising him to reflect on "that amnesia."

The former representative, presented as the discoverer of Griezmann and the one who took him to the Royal Society, shows his doubts about the position he will be assigned in Barça, since for many years he has been playing in the same position he occupies Messi, the great Blaugrana star.
