At the Latvia World Cup last year, Switzerland won the baton before Sweden.

And when the third and final section of this year's World Cup today started in Norway, it was the same two countries that were in superior leadership.

Beware of head injury

After an impressive first leg by Lina Strand, a nauseous Tove Alexandersson on the second leg lost the 44 seconds lead she had at the start, to the finish being six seconds after Simona Aebersold.

But Karolin Ohlsson, who barely competed during the summer due to a hip injury, quickly rose to the lead ahead of Swiss Julia Jakob.

After taking turns taking the lead for a few seconds, Ohlsson then accelerated as they came out of the woods - and sprinted to finish four seconds ahead of the Swiss.
