Paris Saint-Germain's Brazilian star Neymar has warned that the player will return to official matches early because he could face another setback due to the same injury.

According to the former head of the Paris Saint-Germain medical staff, Eric Roland, the Brazilian's repeated metatarsal injury could "in fact cause a setback for Neymar" if he returns to play too early.

"Neymar's feet are very thin and the risk of relapse in the fifth metatarsal is highly likely," Roland told French newspaper Le Parisien.

However, Roland stressed that Neymar's injury is now fully stable, after doctors and surgeons succeeded in "integrating the entire fracture line into the fifth metatarsal."
