Piteå was drawn to Bröndby
The Swedish champions Piteå were drawn against Danish Bröndby and Kopparberg / Gothenburg against the big team Bayern Munich when the draw of the first round of the Champions League was completed today.
Since neither Piteå nor Gothenburg made any results in the Champions League earlier, the Swedish teams were not seeded during the draw in Nyon in Switzerland, and therefore could get even tougher opposition. Now Piteå was drawn to strong Danish team Bröndby, starting at home, while Gothenburg got the big bet Bayern Munich, also starting at home.
The first meeting will be decided on September 11 or 12, the return on September 25 or 26.
But they did not let go of the reigning champions Olympique Lyon, against whom the Russian team Ryazan was drawn, also the German champions Wolfsburg which Mitrovica got on his lot.
Other interesting meetings in the first regular round are Arsenal - Fiorentina, Juventus - Barcelona, Braga - Paris SG and Lugano - Manchester City.
