It is Sky Sports who has bought the rights, to the delight of Linda Wijkström, who is commercial manager at the interest organization Elitfotboll Dam.

- It is fantastic that in linear TV in Mexico we will broadcast Damallsvenskan for over three years. I don't know if anything like that has been done in sports Sweden, she says.

- Such a long-term cooperation, I do not know if it has been done before.

"A pioneering country"

It's about two games per game, for three years to come.

- We are a leading country in football, both among our players but also how we make our matches available, via traditional TV but also our own platform. This is a long-term solution, a long-term collaboration, so we are not a guinea pig, says Wijkström, adding:

- There is a receipt that the league is strong league, then there is an economic upside to it, but there are no big sums.

Why is Mexico interested?

- Damallsvenskan is four in Sweden when it comes to interest, it is something that impresses. Then we have strong profiles, players who are role models and something that suits them now when they make a big investment in women's soccer in Mexico.

50 countries

Wijkström does not know how many who will be able to see the matches in Mexico. But damallsvenskan's matches are already seen today by people from over 50 countries, according to Wijkström, who refers to viewing figures from the league's web platform.

- The United States is the strongest country consuming our league.

Are there any other countries going on?

- We are currently enjoying this agreement, and that we are working to deliver this in a good way, but work is underway to strengthen the league next year, too.
