In Gothenburg yesterday, a press conference was held for Friday's GP at Slottsskogsvallen. On site were among others one of Sweden's brightest glowing athletics star, Armand Duplantis.

- I want to get as much out of the day as possible. Hopefully get a couple of good jumps and get to the rhythm of the approach as good as possible. Getting momentum ahead of the long season that awaits me, says Duplantis to SVT Sport.

Doha World Cup is heralding

Armand Duplantis has been one of the big jumpers' names in recent years, but a World Cup medal is still something the 19-year-old lacks.

- For me, it doesn't matter how high I jump in the World Cup as long as I take a medal. If I get one at 5.50, I will still celebrate with my gold medal, ”says“ Mondo ”to SVT Sport.

Tilde Johansson wants to reach the final

Another World Cup-ready participant in Gothenburg GP is the shooting star Tilde Johansson. Despite his lack of experience in senior contexts, the 18-year-old has set high goals.

- There will probably be 25 competitors competing in the long jump and the qualifying limit will be difficult. But I still aim to reach the final in the World Cup, ”says Johansson to SVT Sport.
