Jenny Rissveds took her first World Cup victory since the 2016 Gold Olympics. At Lenzerheide where Rissveds took her first victory in the World Cup, she took her second today. A special victory after her fight against depression that has kept her away from the sport. A tear filled Rissveds was interviewed after the race in the goal trap:

- Two years ago, I didn't want to live. I just want to say to everyone, do not give up!

Jenny Rissveds came out strongly from the starting trap and cycled off in an early lead. But during the first lap of a tough downhill in terrain, Rissveds crashed and dropped to the top.

But Rissveds would recover.

Despite the crash on the first lap, Rissveds had a good hang on top as the race went into its final laps. Dutchman Anne Terpstra led with a lap with Rissveds just seconds later. But at the beginning of the last lap, the Swede started with a furious spurt and went about Terpstra in first place. Rissved's steamed on properly and Terpstra never really came close. Rissveds finally came in at 1: 21.09, 25 seconds before the second Terpstra.

Lenzerheide is a special course for Rissveds. 2016 was the scene for Rissved's first World Cup victory. Today's victory is her second overall in the World Cup.

- The circle is complete. I won here two years ago and now I'm back, Rissveds said after the victory.

The victory means that Jenny ranks ninth in the Crosscountry World Cup rankings.
