British Lucy Macgregor had some problems in the semi-finals but was able to advance and defend his World Cup gold in match racing. In the waters outside Lysekil, she turned sub-1-2 in matches in the semi-finals against Dutch Renée Groeneveld to victory with 3-2.
In the final, Macgregor was pitted against Frenchman Claire Leroy, who had made the same turn in her semi-final against world set, compatriot Pauline Courtois.
Once in the World Cup final, it was a clear 3-0 victory for Macgregor. The bronze went to Courtois.
All three Swedish crews went out in Friday's quarterfinals.
