It was a battle over who would take a back seat to the top at Behrn Arena. The reigning champions Piteå visited this year's big surprise team KIF Örebro.

Speechless first half

The weight of the match was clear in the first half where both teams went hard in the close matches. The game rolled back and forth and both teams had good situations, where maybe Örebro had the hotter. In Piteå it was mostly about the World Cup acquaintance Madelen Janogy who was close to giving the visitors twice the lead in the first half but the team went to break without any notes in the goal protocol.

Heidi Kollanen revenged himself

Örebro had the hottest chances initially in the second half. The very best was Heidi Kollanen who after a clumsy defense game got completely open goal. But Kollanen managed to miss the goal completely and Örebroforward long looked like a scapegoat.

But she would revenge herself. 87 minutes into the game, Kollanen were awarded a penalty that could only be done by the referee. Forward controlled the ball nicely and with his second touch threw the ball into the cross via the bar. The three points mean that Örebro continues to challenge the absolute summit in all Swedes and right now the newcomers are second.
