Halil Dervisoglu will make the switch from Sparta Rotterdam to Brentford. The nineteen-year-old attacker is in London on Thursday to complete a transfer to the Championship club.
"Sparta has a few details following an agreement with Brentford about a transfer from Dervisoglu," the Premier League club reports on Twitter on Thursday. "He is in London today for a medical examination and to reach an agreement."
It is not clear how much Brentford pays for Dervisoglu, which is still under contract with Sparta until mid-2021. The born Rotterdammer broke through at Sparta last season.
In 34 games in the Kitchen Champion Division, Dervisoglu scored ten times and he was also accurate in the final of the play-offs against De Graafschap. Dervisoglu thus had an important share in the promotion from Sparta to the Eredivisie.

Dervisoglu becomes a teammate of Mokotjo
Dervisoglu chooses Brentford for the number eleven of last season in the Championship, the second level in England. The club has never played in the Premier League.
Brentford already has a former Eredivisie player under contract with Kamohelo Mokotjo. The South African, who has been playing at Griffin Park since 2017, was active in the Netherlands for Feyenoord, Excelsior, PEC Zwolle and FC Twente.
Dervisoglu made his Eredivisie debut against Feyenoord last Sunday and it will therefore remain for that one match. The team of coach Henk Fraser played a 2-2 tie in De Kuip.
