Ben Rienstra exchanges sc Heerenveen for a Turkish adventure. The leader of the Frisians goes to Kayserispor. Sparta Rotterdam loses the talented attacker Halil Dervisoglu to Brentford.

The transition from Rienstra from Heerenveen to Kayserispor is not yet complete. The Frisian club reports on Thursday that an agreement has been reached, but that the final formalities have yet to be completed.

29-year-old Rienstra is going to sign a two-year contract in Turkey. His commitment at Heerenveen continues for two years and so Kayserispor has to pay a transfer fee.

The midfielder played a season at Heerenveen, where he became captain after the departure of Dave Bulthuis. Kayserispor, which finished tenth in the Turkish Süper Lig last season, will be Rienstra's first club abroad.

The former youth international played alongside Heerenveen for Heracles Almelo, PEC Zwolle, AZ and Willem II.

Also Dervisoglu transfer almost round

Just like Rienstra, Dervisoglu has not yet been presented. "Sparta has a few details following an agreement with Brentford about a transfer," the Premier League club reports on Twitter. "He is in London today for a medical examination and to reach an agreement."

It is not clear how much Brentford pays for 19-year-old Dervisoglu, who is still under contract with Sparta until mid-2021. The born Rotterdammer broke through at Het Kasteel last season.

He scored ten times in 34 games in the Kitchen Champion Division and Dervisoglu scored ten times and he was also accurate in the final of the play-offs against De Graafschap. He thus had an important share in the promotion from Sparta to the Eredivisie.

Dervisoglu chooses Brentford for the number eleven of last season in the Championship, the second level in England. The club has never played in the Premier League.

Last Sunday, Dervisoglu made his Eredivisie debut against Feyenoord and it will therefore remain for that one match. The team of coach Henk Fraser played a 2-2 tie in De Kuip.
