Trained in Arles-Avignon, he has played in France under 19 and has long been the star of Arsenal youth teams which he was part of from 2015 to 2017, without succeeding in winning first team . He also played a few months in Tours (L2), early 2017.
He has just spent a full season in Serie A with Empoli, who acquired it in the summer of 2017, and made a superb African Cup of Nations with Algeria, victorious in the competition. Bennacer has even been voted best player of CAN-2019. According to L'Equipe, the rossonero club has spent 16 million euros to attach the services of the player, long on the shelves of Olympique Lyonnais.
