Jumbo-Visma will appear on Saturday with, among others, George Bennett and Laurens De Plus at the Clásica San Sebstián. Koen Bouwman and Bert-Jan Lindeman are the only Dutch in the team.
Bennett and De Plus made a big impression in the Tour de France in recent weeks as helpers of leader Steven Kruijswijk, of whom it was already known that he would not start in San Sebastián.
In addition to New Zealander Bennett, Belgian De Plus and Dutchmen Bouwman and Lindeman, the team of Jumbo-Visma in the Basque Country is completed by the American Sepp Kuss, the Belgian Floris De Tier and the German Paul Martens.
Last year, Jumbo-Visma finished in the top ten with three riders. Robert Gesink finished eighth, Kruijswijk finished ninth and Antwan Tolhoek crossed the finish line in tenth.
The victory then went to Julian Alaphilippe, who is again present this year on behalf of Deceuninck-Quick-Step. Bauke Mollema was second on behalf of Trek-Segafredo and is also participating again.
