Pavel Mamaev and Alexander Kokorin have been serving their sentences in Correctional Colony No. 4 of the Federal Penitentiary Service of the Russian Federation in the Belgorod Region for more than half a month. After transferring to IK-4, both football players underwent a mandatory quarantine procedure and were transferred to the main chamber.

TV presenter Olga Skabeeva visited convicted ex-players of the Russian national team and spoke about the conditions of their life in prison. According to her, Kokorin and Mamayev were placed in a hut, which contains the so-called trustworthy prisoners.

“Mamayeva and Kokorina were identified in the 8 squad, which contains only 80 people. They live in a dormitory for 22 people. Bunk beds, linen change once a week. The beds of Kokorin and Mamayev are located next to each other, ”the presenter said.

In addition, it is reported that the neighbors of football players, among others, were two juvenile offenders. One of them was convicted under Art. 105 of the Criminal Code (murder), the other - under Art. 228 (illegal acquisition, storage, transportation, manufacture and processing of drugs).

The change of the place of serving the punishment has made major changes in the lives of convicted football stars. Now Alexander Kokorin and Pavel Mamaev can receive parcels, write magazines and newspapers, and also have the opportunity to spend time outdoors and play sports.

By law, each of the prisoners is entitled to several long (three days) meetings with relatives on the territory of the correctional institution, where there are special accommodation facilities for this. Pavel Mamaev's wife, Alana, has already visited her husband, and the common-law wife of Kokorin Daria Valitova is just about to meet.

After the determination of Kokorin and Mamayev in IK-4 in the town of Alekseyevka, Belgorod Region, the attention of not only fans but also the media is attracted to the institution. Thus, one of the convicted prisoners who had previously been released in prison, Valentin Sokolov, shared his memories with the press. In particular, he said that prison staff applied physical force to prisoners.

“Yes, most guards do not even think about who you are and what you are. Of course, this hardly applies to Kokorin and Mamayev, and the rest is a standard program: you are beaten immediately. From morning to evening in the soap, you do not have time to sleep, but they will not give parole - at least work, there are no people who want it. Therefore, they start beating, then they offer to sign a paper on cooperation, ”Sokolov quotes Sovetsky Sport as saying.

However, later this information was refuted by the leadership of the FPS. Deputy Head of Department Valery Maksimenko said that he was ready to conduct an open check to prove other facts.

“This is a model colony, it was specially selected for football players. Nobody is beaten in it. This is false information, ”he clarified.

Mamaev and Kokorin have to stay in custody for several more months. Zenit striker should be released on December 7, Krasnodar midfielder - already on November 6. Despite the fact that by this time the first part of the championship of Russia on football will be in full swing, both do not give up hopes to fully return to the profession. However, unlike Kokorin, who is fully supported by his own club, the southerner's midfielder will have to look for a new job. As soon as the midfielder comes to an end, Mamaev will have to stand trial again - the RFU granted Krasnodar's motion to terminate the contract, but the case will be considered with the personal presence of the player.

On October 11, 2018, Pavel Mamaev, Alexander Kokorin, his brother Kirill, and Alexander Protasovitsky were arrested on charges of beating Denis Pak, the head of the department of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, and TV presenter Olga Ushakova, Vitaly Solovchuk.

On May 8, the Presnensky Court of Moscow sentenced Kokorin to one year and six months in a general regime colony, and Mamayev to one year and five months in prison.

On June 13, the Moscow City Court reversed the verdict of the Presnensky Court, but a new one was issued - with the same terms of imprisonment and with minor changes in the qualification of actions.
