"Let's give Volodya time to recover, calm down"

The starting tour of the new season of RPL was not without a major judicial scandal. In the match "Spartak" - "Sochi" several controversial decisions were made at once by the referee from Voronezh Vladimir Moskalev. In particular, in the 21st minute Nikolay Rasskazov in a subcategory knocked down Yan Kazayev, who was preparing to finish the ball into the net, but the arbitrator decided that there was no violation of the rules.

The only goal of the red-and-whites, scored in the 93rd minute, also raised many questions. Samuel Zhigot in horse riding obviously leaned on Evgeny Pesegov's head, and then sent a projectile into the net. However, Moskalev did not hesitate to point to the "center".

In Sochi, in hot pursuit, they stated that it was necessary to introduce the VAR system into the RPL as soon as possible, and in Spartak, in turn, accused the opponent of delaying the time and called Zhigot's goal “the punishment of a football god.”

However, in the Department of Judging and Inspection of the RFU, a couple of days after the match, they admitted that Moskalev did not work in the best way, moreover, Alexander Egorov, the head of the department, personally announced this.

“The match turned out to be resonant, the overall assessment is a very, very unfortunate game for Volodya Moskalev. We have a lot of questions about the cards. We do not want to see such goals scored. It can be said that at the moment with a goal Zhigo was a struggle, Samuel jumped out early, but, in our opinion, the ball could not be counted in the Sochi goal, because there was a violation of the rules, ”quotes the head of the domestic refereeing Championship.

Also, according to Egorov, in the middle of the first half, “Spartak” definitely should have been assigned a penalty kick.

“For Moskalev, this is a bad match, but such situations happen in sports. Football players also conduct unsuccessful games, the coach can choose the wrong tactics. We talked with Volodya after the game, we will give him time. At the training camp, he looked good, passed all the tests. We expected that he will normally enter the season. Therefore, we will give Volodya time to recover, calm down. Everything in life happens, ”added Egorov.

Thus, in the near future Moskalev will not serve the Premier League matches. It is curious that last season, Vladimir worked at once at 24 meetings of the RPL and for this indicator entered the top ten leagues.

In Sochi, the decision of the department of inspection and refereeing was enthusiastically greeted, but complained that the removal of Moskalev would not return the three points.

“You need to enter a VAR to somehow minimize errors. Although practice shows that this is not a panacea. I don’t have any personal complaints about Moskalev, this is a game, he was under pressure - both coaches, football players, and judges make mistakes. VAR in RPL will act selectively? At present, there is simply no other way out, since stadiums are not ready for this. Although, of course, it turns out that the conditions will be different. We will probably see more scandals, and maybe nothing will happen, ”said Alexander Tochilin, the head coach of the RPL debutant.

“We expect that VAR will be used from the 2nd round”

However, the questions in the first round were caused not only by the decision of Moskalev. Quite a controversial ball was scored by Lokomotiv at the Rubin goal. At first glance, there could be no violation. Alexei Miranchuk from the penalty kick nicely spun the ball exactly in the near nine.

However, according to the new rules that came into force, in the performance of the standard, the players of the attacking team cannot rise to the “wall” and must be at least one meter away from it at the moment of impact.

In Loko players in Cherkizovo, it seems, they did not observe this rule, but referee Mikhail Vilkov counted the goal.

However, Egorov in this situation, on the contrary, took the side of the subordinate and declared that he acted rightly.

“The rules say that before the execution of a penalty the players must stand a meter from the“ wall ”. I can show you the screenshots. Before the execution of the strike players are really in the meter. We dealt with such situations at the training camp, ”explained the head of the national refereeing.

In addition, Egorov stressed that Vilkov’s decision to cancel the goal would simply not be in the spirit of the game.

“No one would understand this. Initially, the player stood a meter away from the “wall”, a blow followed, he made a move towards the wall, but had the right to do so. Formally, this is a violation, but no one will cancel the goal. We will send this moment to FIFA and IFAB for consultation. If the opponent pushed the “wall” away, it would be necessary to intervene, ”added Yegorov.

At the same time, the media initially reported that it was at the match in Cherkizovo that the VAR system would be used for the first time in the history of the RPL, but as a result it worked only in offline mode and the judges were not able to watch the replay.

However, the situation may change from the 2nd round of the national championship season. This was told the president of the RFU Alexander Dyukov. He explained the delay in the introduction of innovation by the need to agree among themselves "to all participants in the process."

“We planned to officially use VAR in the online mode in the first round in one or two matches. Instead, they used VAR, so that our arbitrators could practice, offline, this happened yesterday. The RFU took upon itself the responsibility of concluding all the necessary contracts, I think this week the necessary agreements will be accepted and signed. Today we are planning to send an application to IFAB, so that at least in one of the matches we will officially use the VAR in online mode. We expect that, starting from the second round, VAR will be used for the RPL matches, ”the RFA leader explained.
