Tunisian coach Alain Gereis has stressed the difficulty of the match against Senegal in today's semi-finals of the 2019 African Cup of Nations in Egypt, stressing that Senegal are a strong team and a candidate for the title.

"He will try every way to win the game and will seek to benefit from his great knowledge of the Senegalese team and the abilities of their players," Gereis told a news conference.

"He knows a lot about the players of Senegal, because he trained their team before, but he does not rely entirely on it, because the performance on the pitch for each player is the most important."

"He will not talk about the criticisms he has been subjected to in the last Tunisian matches, and what he is concerned about today's meeting against Senegal, and winning to qualify for the final of the championship in the way to resolve the continental title."

It should be noted that this is the first time that Tunisia have reached the semi-finals of the African Championship since the 2004 edition, which was crowned at home.

Tunisian striker Taha Yassin El Khneissi said the team had "prepared well for the match." "The most focused team is who will win the game and the qualification for the final."

"The previous two games against Madagascar and Ghana were very difficult, but the players will try to play in the same spirit to beat Senegal," he said.
