Vitesse has attracted Richedly Bazoer on Friday afternoon. The six-time international of Orange comes over from VfL Wolfsburg and signs for three years.
Both clubs do not report how high the transfer fee is. Bazoer still had a contract with the Bundesliga Club until mid-2021.
"Vitesse is a team that suits me. The ambitions appeal to me and I want to contribute to that," says Bazoer on the site of his new club.
Last season, the 22-year-old midfielder played on a rental basis at FC Utrecht. Bazoer went through PSV's youth academy, made his debut in professional football at Ajax and left for Wolfsburg in mid-2017, which also lent him to FC Porto.
Bazoer was unable to secure a fixed base for his foreign clubs. That is his goal in Arnhem. "I want to become important to the team as quickly as possible and get everything out of myself. I am still young and in the prime of my career."

Vitesse sees Bazoer as an opportunity
Earlier this summer, Vitesse won Armando Obispo, Jay-Roy Grot, Tomas Hajek and Charly Musonda. Maikel van der Werff, Alexander Büttner, Arnold Kruiswijk, Eduardo, Mohammed Dauda, Jake Clarke-Salter and Martin Ødegaard will not return to the GelreDome this season.
Vitesse's technical director Mo Allach sees the arrival of Bazoer as an opportunity. "He has many qualities, he has demonstrated that in the past. You don't just become Talent of the Year at a club like Ajax."
"He is a strong and dynamic midfielder. We hope that the potential of Riechedly at Vitesse will be fully expressed again."
Bazoer made his debut for the Orange in 2015 but has been out of the picture for the national team for three years. He can make his debut for Vitesse on 3 August, when the team from Arnhem start the Eredivisie with a home match against his old club Ajax.
