Six private planes carrying Algerian fans arrived at Cairo International Airport late Thursday morning to attend the Algerian team's match against Ivory Coast in the African Cup of Nations quarter-finals.

The public encouraged travel to provide the Algerian Ministry of Youth and Sports with tickets for a 35,000 dinar ($ 293) flight that ran out two hours after it was put in place.

The ambassador of Egypt to Algeria, Ayman Musharraf, told the Middle East News Agency that the embassy has extracted 5400 visas for the Algerian fans since the beginning of the tournament.

Algeria had qualified for the quarter-finals with a 3-0 victory over Guinea in a 3-0 win over Ivory Coast, who beat Mali 1-0.

The Algerian team qualified for the quarter-finals after a successful march in the tournament, which won all the games and kept clean sheet, to be the strongest defense of the championship, as is the case of his attack, which scored nine goals.
