The Algerian team advanced to the semi-finals of the African Cup of Nations deservedly after a strong match against Ivory Coast and manly performance showed all the players without exception.

After a marathon, Algeria won the African Cup of Nations semi-final after crossing Ivory Coast's penalty shootout with a 4-3 draw after a 120-minute draw at the new Suez Stadium in the quarter-finals.

Algeria advanced with Sofian Figouli in the 19th minute, Côte d'Ivoire tied for Jonathan Codgia in the 63rd minute and Baghdad Bongah missed a penalty in the 49th minute for Algeria.

Algeria's Rami Bensabini, Islam Soleimani, Andy Delor, Adam Onas and Ahdat Youssef Belaili scored for Côte d'Ivoire, Franck Casey, Maxwell Cornier, Max Gradil, Wandem Wilfried Bonnie and Seri Deh.

Algeria qualified for the last four to play Nigeria in the semi-finals and the Ivory Coast are the champions.
