Nigeria qualified for the African Cup of Nations (2019) final in Egypt after a 1-0 victory over Guinean on Wednesday in the second round of Group B matches.

Kenneth Umero scored the only goal of the game with a header in the 73rd minute, leading his team to a second straight win in the group after a 1-0 victory over Burundi.

The Nigerian team - the title of three times - became the first to qualify for the semi-finals after raising the score to six points and finishing the first round in the first place or second in the group, regardless of the outcome of the last match in the group against Madagascar.

The Guineans are at one point and dropped to third in the group with a goal difference just behind Madagascar, who meet Burundi on Thursday.
